Last Saturday we were picking up the kids from El Codito (Little Elbow) for kids' Bible club. We were running a few minutes late, and in those few minutes the mom (who escorts the kids down the mountain) and the 9 kids with her, all witnessed 2 hit men on a motorcycle come up and shoot 4 people in a pick up truck. It was right in front of them. The kids were very shook up, crying and traumatized.
We prayed and sang our way up the mountain, and had a rather subdued club.
My heart goes out to them, all between 4 and 15 years old, to have witnessed such a horrible thing. Our prayer is that they are reminded of the brevity of life, that they would learn to fear the Lord, not men.
